Jeremiyah Love hilariously fails to name NFL players on Amon-Ra St. Brown’s podcast

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love has a lot to learn in his first year in the NFL, from scheming to caring for his body, but he may need to add another homework assignment: learning some players’ faces.

The No. 3 overall draft pick out of Notre Dame was asked to name a number of current and past NFL stars by their headshot Wednesday on the St. Brown Podcast, hosted by Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Let’s just say he didn’t do so hot.

He couldn’t get Jared Goff to start.

At the end, he admits he actually has no idea who Jared Goff is.

St. Brown starts Love off with what he thinks should be an easy one — Lions quarterback Jared Goff. Instead, Love, the running and passing threat option, had no clue who he was staring at.

In fact, he thought it was one of the many to reprise Spider-Man on the big screen this century.

“I don’t know him, bro,” Love said. “He look like old dude Andrew Garfield.”

Later on in the same segment, the running back revisited Goff after St. Brown gave him “no slack.”

“What’d you say his name was? Jared Goff … he’s a quarterback? Was he good?” Love asked. “Oh, he’s on your team now? Ah, then he nice then.”

Love struggled with but was able to name Hall of Famer Calvin “Megatron” Johnson.

Then came the league’s co-highest-paid kicker and fellow Notre Dame alumni, Brandon Aubrey, who’s entering Year 4 with the Dallas Cowboys. Aubrey played his ball from 2013-16 for the Fighting Irish.

“This guy, I don’t know him,” Love said.

Though St. Brown admitted naming Aubrey was “a little harder” than the rest, it didn’t stop him from roasting Love a bit.

“So, what this tells me is you went to Notre Dame, right, you love to claim Notre Dame but you don’t know your own people,” St. Brown said of Love, who spent three years in South Bend, Indiana.

Love calmly played it off by saying, “I know names, not faces.”

Well, as long as he’s breaking off big runs, scoring touchdowns and even returning the occasion kickoff, the Cardinals can live with Love seemingly living under a rock.
