Corbin Carroll breaks top 10 of MLB Network’s top 100 list ahead of 2026 season

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll was named by MLB Network as one of the top 10 players in baseball ahead of the 2026 season.

The top 10 spots were unveiled on Thursday night, and Carroll came in at No. 9. After winning the Rookie of the Year award in his second season with the Diamondbacks, Carroll has ranked inside the top 40 for three straight years.

The young star ranked No. 18 in 2024 and No. 32 in 2025. In addition to being ranked the ninth-best player in the league, Carroll is coming off his second All-Star appearance and winning a Silver Slugger.

Carroll joins teammates Ketel Marte (No. 19) and Geraldo Perdomo (No. 24) on MLB Network’s top 100 list.

Perdomo led the Diamondbacks in wins above replacement (WAR), hits, doubles and walks, and Carroll and Marte were second and third on the team in all three categories.

All three Diamondbacks will participate in the World Baseball Classic. Marte and Perdomo will play for the Dominican Republic, and Carroll will play for the U.S.

Carroll’s No. 9 spot on the top 100 list comes after a season that saw career-highs in WAR (5.8), doubles (32), triples (17), home runs (31), RBI (84), SLG (.541) and OPS+ (140).

Despite missing time at the end of June due to a chip fracture in his left wrist, the former first-round pick finished sixth in NL MVP voting.

Los Angeles Dodgers’ two-way star Shohei Ohtani came in at No. 1 on MLB Network’s top 100 list.
