Ryan Dunn available vs. Lakers, Grayson Allen out with illness

Suns forward Ryan Dunn (right wrist sprain) is available for Phoenix’s game at the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday after missing the last five games.

The return for Dunn, who has averaged 8.4 points and 4.9 rebounds in 16 games (11 starts) to begin his second season, comes as three other Suns came off the injury report.

One of those who came off the report on Sunday, Grayson Allen (quad contusion), however will not suit up as he was ruled out with an illness 90 minutes before tipoff.

Jordan Goodwin (ankle sprain) and Mark Williams (calf soreness) were both absent from the injury report and are available after carrying designations into Phoenix’s game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

Collin Gillespie is starting in Allen’s stead alongside Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks, Royce O’Neale and Williams.

Jalen Green remains out with the hamstring strain that’s now kept him out of 12 straight games. Two-way forward Isaiah Livers (right hip strain) was also ruled out.

Allen played 26 minutes in his return on Saturday after missing more than two weeks due to the quad injury. He had 10 points and three assists on 4 of 11 shooting.

Goodwin also played against the Nuggets despite his own injury designation and had eight points with two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes. He appeared in all 15 November games with two starts.

Williams has still yet to play in a back-to-back as a Sun though his absence from Saturday’s game was the first time “right knee injury management” wasn’t the thing that prevented him from suiting up.

The Suns are 1-3 when Williams doesn’t play and 11-6 when he does. He’s averaged 12.9 points (64.4% shooting) and 9.2 rebounds in 17 games.

Los Angeles Lakers’ injury outlook

LeBron James (foot) was ruled out for the Lakers’ first game of a back-to-back against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday but is available against Phoenix.

Marcus Smart was ruled out for the third straight game with lower back injury management.
