The Arizona State men’s basketball team got off to a blistering 15-0 start against Kansas State Tuesday night in Tempe.
The Sun Devil defense kept the visiting Wildcats to a grand total of zero points through nearly the first seven minutes of the game until a mid-range jumper by Max Jones stopped the distaster start.
The Wildcats opened 0-for-10 from the field and trailed by as many as 15-0 as the ASU defense ramped up the intensity.
Over the course of the 15-0 run, Adam Miller notched seven points, BJ Freeman hit a pair of treys to score six and Basheer Jihad added a pair of free throws. The Sun Devils hit three treys as part of the opening burst on offense.
