Cam Skattebo FaceTimed Kenny Dillingham after 3 TDs vs. Eagles on Thursday Night Football
A shirtless celebration wasn't enough for Giants running back Cam Skattebo. An early FaceTime with his former college coach was in order.

Former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo had himself a breakout game on the NFL scene, with three rushing touchdowns in a 34-17 win for the New York Giants over the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
His excitement didn’t just last through Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football Nightcap, where Skattebo ripped off his jersey and athletic under shirt and chest-bumped former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
No, his stint of adrenaline and dream of a performance had to be shared with his college coach, Kenny Dillingham.
“Well, he FaceTimed me at like 5:45 a.m. my time. I was awake, so it was good,” Dillingham told Arizona Sports’ Bickley & Marotta on Friday.
“College, I get it, it’s winning, it’s losing, it’s all of that. But the most joyful moments are getting to see a kid like Skatt live out his dream. Like legitimately, you get to see a kid live his dream.”
Dillingham, who had the chance to coach the electrifying 5-foot-10 back for two seasons (2023-24), added “there’s nothing more exciting” for a coach than to see the moment (or three moments) their athlete achieves what was not too long ago just in their mind’s eye.
Skattebo rattled off 19 carries for 98 yards and tacked on 12 yards on two receptions to eclipse 100 all-purpose yards for the third time in his first six career games. He now has five rushing scores as well.

Already the winner of Kyle Brandt’s Angry Runs scepter for simply crushing three defenders on his first NFL touch, Skattebo’s brand of head-through-the-wall running is becoming a household commodity.
