Cam Skattebo says WWE is ‘definitely an option’

Former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo may have found a new career path once his playing days are over.

The current New York Giant told TMZ the WWE is “definitely an option” for him when asked whether he could see himself in the ring.

“There’s a chance. I mean, I feel like I’m a pretty good actor,” Skattebo said. “There’s a chance there, there’s a chance on stream. There’s a bunch of chances I feel like I can do something outside of football when I’m done playing, and I’m not too sure where I’m gonna go with that, but WWE is definitely an option.”

Skattebo has already appeared on WWE Monday Night Raw, finding himself in a stare down between comedian Andrew Schulz and WWE star Dominik Mysterio in November.

Skattebo was then asked by TMZ if he could wrestle, before then being asked about his previous wrestling experience.

“I’m just growing up watching it and then, you know, I had an older brother that was bigger than me,” Skattebo said. “So his reach was always longer. So I never was able to punch him. It was just wrestling the whole time.”

Cam Skattebo provides update on injured ankle

Skattebo also provided a positive update on his injured ankle.

The Giants running back continues to work his way back to the field after he suffered a gruesome right ankle injury and was carted off the field during a Week 8 loss in Philadelphia, immediately ending his rookie campaign.

“Ankle’s doing good, man. I’ve started to move around a little bit more,” Skattebo said. “Golfed a little bit. Played a little softball game so I feel confident in it, so the biggest thing is the mental block. I just gotta keep pushing and know it’s gonna be alright.”
