Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Beck signed his four-year rookie contract on Wednesday, the team announced.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport reported the deal is worth $7.4 million.
Additionally on Wednesday, Arizona signed defensive lineman Coziah Izzard and placed fourth-round rookie defensive lineman Kaleb Proctor on injured reserve with a torn meniscus.
Beck was the Cardinals’ last draft choice to sign on the dotted line and among the final picks to sign around the NFL.
Cardinals players were scheduled to report to training camp on Wednesday ahead of the first practice on Thursday.
Beck joined Arizona as a third-round pick (No. 65 overall) after spending last year with the Miami Hurricanes.

The third quarterback taken in the draft after Fernando Mendoza and Ty Simpson went in the first round, Beck completed 72.4% of his passes for 3,813 yards and 30 touchdowns to 12 interceptions across the Hurricanes’ run to the national championship game.
He’s now a part of a quarterbacks room that includes a pair of veterans in Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew.

None of the QBs had signed till now signing over the last day or two. They were just all vying for the best contractual terms, the NFL PAs try’s to get them to push for more guarantees, alterations to the rookie pay scale every year so Carson agent wouldn’t sign until the other QBs did, till pick 64 right in front of Carson signed etc. it’s just a game, everyone trying to maximize dollars and favorable guarantees, contractual terms for things like fines, missed OTAs, etc.
I hope Beck balls out. That’d be tremendous if he beats out Brissett n takes his job after he held out all off season .
Kind of interesting that Beck, a 3rd round pick, took until now to sign when the NFL salary scale for draftees by round (and position in round) is pretty narrow. Maybe they were haggling over signing bonus? Or maybe the Cards were negotiating to have his ample arm tats removed? :-D
