Free agent offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer is visiting with the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Salyer, 26, has played in 64 NFL games (40 starts) across four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. He most recently signed with the Miami Dolphins in March, but he was released on Aug. 25 after being placed on injured reserve with what was believed to be a season-ending knee injury.

Apparently Salyer is now healthy and is expected to sign in the coming weeks. The Cardinals are desperate for offensive line help after starting left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. and starting right guard Isaiah Adams were both placed on injured reserve.

Salyer is versatile enough to fill in at both of those positions, as he’s taken over 1,000 snaps at each spot — left tackle and right guard — during his career, according to Pro Football Focus.

With Arizona, it seems more likely he will play at right guard, as signing tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. was the initial move made after Johnson’s injury, and rookie Jayden Williams started in place of Johnson during Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions.

In college, Salyer played four seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs. He played guard and tackle, starting at left tackle in the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship, which Georgia won over Alabama.
