Jeremiyah Love throws out 1st pitch Monday for Diamondbacks-Angels

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love threw out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Diamondbacks’ series opener against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday.

Love tossed a strike to Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo from in front of the Chase Field mound:

Joining Love on the field pregame was the Cardinals’ 2026 rookie class:

– Quarterback Carson Beck
– Offensive lineman Chase Bisontis
– Cornerback Elijah Culp
– Offensive lineman Ka’ena De Cambra
– Tight end Jameson Geers
– Defensive lineman Kaleb Proctor
– Linebacker Cameron Robertson
– Linebacker Karson Sharar
– Wide receiver Reggie Virgil
– Wide receiver Harrison Wallace III
– Safety Wydett Williams Jr.
– Defensive lineman Damonic Williams
– Offensive lineman Jayden Williams

The No. 3 overall pick and the rest of the rookie class are coming off last week’s mandatory minicamp that was cut one day short due to multiple factors, including health.

Love is expected to take over Arizona’s run game as a rookie, with veteran Tyler Allgeier the likely next man up in the running backs room.

The Diamondbacks (36-35), meanwhile, are hoping to stack wins after Sunday’s 5-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds and avoid dropping back to .500.
