L.J. Collier, Cardinals agree to terms on 1-year deal
The Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms with defensive lineman L.J. Collier, the team announced Wednesday.

The Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defensive lineman L.J. Collier on Wednesday.
The deal is worth up to $4 million, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
The lineman is coming off his second season with Arizona after originally signing on in 2023 as a free agent.
After an abbreviated 2023 (one game) due to a season-ending biceps injury, he bounced back this past year. In 17 games played (15 starts), the lineman registered 3.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, two passes defensed and six QB hits.
Collier has also served as a voice for young players like Darius Robinson and Dante Stills, who was the lone Arizona defensive lineman to crack a top 10 spot in run-stop win rate (38%).
He’ll compete for a playing time alongside Robinson, Stills, Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols.
L.J. Collier latest Cardinals player back with team in 2025
Collier marks the latest Cardinal player back in Arizona, joining offensive linemen Kelvin Beachum and Evan Brown, pass rusher Baron Browning, wide receiver Zay Jones, long snapper Aaron Brewer and special teams ace Joey Blount.
Arizona also tendered restricted free agent and wide receiver Greg Dortch.
Arizona has added some outside pieces, too, led by pass rusher Josh Sweat, inside linebackers Akeem Davis-Gaither and Mykal Walker and quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
L.J.’s NFL resume
Collier entered the league as a first-round pick (No. 29 overall) with the Seattle Seahawks in 2019.
The pairing didn’t pan out, however, with the lineman recording just 3.0 sacks (all in 2020) across four seasons (45 games) before the two sides went their separate ways in 2023.
In six NFL seasons, he’s registered 6.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, seven passes defensed and 19 QB hits in 63 games (32 starts).

It is and here is why. He's been a solid role playing starter who had a solid year for the talent or skill set he has (He might be better next year).
Browning was another good pick up who honestly outplayed everybody on that line last year . DRob is coming back will help, we signed Sweat. So my moral of my story is YES, I agree with you we need to be much better and hopefully our 16th Pick is a MONSTER DT. But the Cardinals are not good enough yet to discard players like Collier or Browning, they need too have a good solid base or foundation.
If we don't get past 9 wins next year and our defense is healthy look no further to our QB.
Is it? I hope it is. I also hope that they aren't done yet.
