The Arizona Cardinals stuck at No. 16 and doubled down on their offseason revitalization of their defensive line talent, drafting Ole Miss tackle Walter Nolen on Thursday in the first round.
They kept with the defensive theme on Day 2 behind the additions of Michigan cornerback Will Johnson in the second round and Oregon pass rusher Jordan Burch in the third.
On Day 3, the Cardinals added Ohio State linebacker Cody Simon before dealing their fifth-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys for two later-round selections.
Arizona went on to select Ohio State cornerback Denzel Burke (fifth round), Texas OG Hayden Conner and Nevada S Kitan Crawford.

Been a draft geek since my mom let my brother and I stay home from school to watch the NFL draft on ESPN. That was the infamous Dan Marino draft.
Health and AZ Sports luck are usually not on the same page. I hope your right about Johnson. I am a novice here, great analysis TY!!!
1. Nolen (A). Love it. Doesn't have to start right away, can listen and learn from Calais Campbell and others on how to be a Pro.
2. Johnson (A+) - You have to take a chance when a potential Top 12 pick falls to the 2nd round. Even, no actual knowledge on this, he sits for a year to get "healthy", this is a no-brainer high risk reward pick.
3. Burch (B) - Big size, productive and tested well. In this and any defense, you can never have enough good Edge Rushers
4. Simon (B) - There were other LB's I liked but he was the Defensive MVP of the Championship game against ND, not Jack Sawyer. Cards needed an LB and got one.
5. Burke (?) - Didn't they draft a bunch of DB's last year? DB room will be interesting and competitive. I would have gone with best WR available
6. Conner (B) Need Oline depth and got it. Played against Georgia, Bama, LSU, Oklahoma and other top Defensive Lines in the Nation.
7. Crawford (B) - Tested well and played well. Good special teams player and another DB.
If Johnson is healthy and I believe he is. Cards got a lock down corner in the 2nd round. Now ... it is on Murray and the Offense. Defense looks loaded.
