Compliance in college athletics is an issue that, quite frankly, few people really understand.
What constitutes a violation across all sports can be confusing, as seemingly innocuous occurrences or even practice habits could ultimately cause a program to be penalized.
In an effort to bring some of this to the forefront, the folks over at Arizona State’s compliance office produced a video that features baseball coach Tracy Smith, men’s basketball coach Bobby Hurley and triathlon coach Cliff English being taught about what they can and cannot do.
It’s done in a similar style as the TV show the Office, and it’s worth many laughs.
