For the second of our four-part roundtable with the hosts, reporters and Empire of the Suns bloggers at 98.7 FM, Arizona’s Sports Station, we asked who the the Phoenix Suns should avoid with the No. 4 overall pick.

Which prospect do you NOT want the Suns to take at No. 4?

Vince Marotta: Lonzo Ball. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s good. Is he as good as daddy claims? Absolutely not. In fact, LaVar has set the bar so high, it will be darn close to impossible for Lonzo to meet the expectations. His presence makes the possibility for distraction and drama too high.

Adam Green: Any point guard not named Lonzo Ball.

Doug Franz: Anyone who has ever touched LaVar Ball.

Kevin Zimmerman: Jayson Tatum doesn’t fill the Suns’ needs to the extent of others who will be on the board.

Dave Burns: I like them all, but I don’t see the point of Monk. Not with Devin Booker.

Craig Grialou: Purely for selfish reasons, I’d stay away from Lonzo Ball. It’s the father factor, and what we, the media, may have to deal with every time LaVar opens his mouth. Having said that, I don’t see Lonzo being a problem and in fact, a Lonzo-Booker backcourt is very intriguing.

Kellan Olson: I’m out on Jayson Tatum in Phoenix. If the Suns take a small forward who is best at power forward, it better be someone who does something different than T.J. Warren since that guy won’t get much time playing PF ahead of Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender. Tatum is a better prospect than Warren, but there’s a slim chance his shooting and defense make him all that different than what Warren is essentially is as a small forward focused on scoring.

John Gambadoro: Malik Monk makes no sense as they have Booker and they play the same position.

Jon Bloom: Since there is seemingly no way Fultz falls to No. 4, I guess I’ll go with Lonzo Ball. Bledsoe is a better point guard than any of these teenagers and will be for the next several years.
