Michigan to wear all maize uniforms in opener vs. Florida
The Michigan Wolverines will look a little different in their season opener against Florida as they'll take the field in all maize uniforms.
For the first time since 1928, the Michigan Wolverines will take the field for their season opener against Florida Saturday in a maize-colored jersey instead of the traditional blue or white.
Michigan, one of the more traditional college football programs when it comes to on-field fashion, has tinkered a bit with its uniforms since 2016, when it became the first team in the nation to wear Jordan Brand uniforms.
Florida, who is outfitted by Nike, will be wearing a specially designed all-blue uniform for the game, the AdvoCare Classic, which will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Exactly. Not a fan of either uni Florida or Michigan is wearing. But this is all about the Benjamins, each University being able to con its fans into buying the latest, got-to-have-it one.. This is what college football, college sports is all about.
Its history man. Nothing wrong with bringing out the old colors from the closet from time to time. Sense of pride and tradition.
I have no problem with fans bringing them out from their closets, but some universities have gone nuts: e.g. Oregon Ducks have worn 66 different unis since 2015 and they're all on sale. I don't like any of them as much as I like ones from 20 years ago or so. Its like ball caps. I have an old one from my University that was so classy, which someone decided to borrow without telling me. Can't find them anymore. All I can find are ones that seem to be made for someone who wears a lot of bling. I'm just not a bling guy!
