Dave Burns (Bold Strategy Cotton): 124
Bertrand Berry (Daddy Phat $acks): 81
Even though he’s the defending Arizona Sports Host League champion, Bertrand Berry went down in Week 1.
On paper, Berry’s lineup looks perfect with players like Aaron Rodgers, Jamaal Charles, Brandon Marshall and Travis Kelce. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so perfect as Kelvin Benjamin was considered one of the biggest losers in week one due to only being targeted 5 times. Dave Burns’ team really showed up this weekend, as Jaguars rookie running back Leonard Fournette was his top scorer with 21 points.

Dan Bickley (Blinded by the TD’s): 99
Doug Franz (I Hate Fantasy): 80
Dan Bickley could be considered the biggest winner of the Fantasy season so far with the reports that Ezekiel Elliott will likely play the whole year. His running back room really put him ahead this week as they racked up 48 points. Doug Franz started Tom Brady at QB, who everyone thought would come out on fire against the Chiefs in the opener. However, the Patriots signal caller could be considered one of the biggest losers in Week 1, as he completed 16 of 36 passes for 267 yards with no touchdowns.

Mike Jurecki (Team Jurecki): 112
John Gambadoro (Sister Markus Golden Hair): 93
This was one of the better matchups the first week brought us in the Arizona Sports Host League and it could have been even closer if Gambo did not lose Allen Robinson to an ACL injury early on. Robinson only caught one pass for 17 yards, which played a major factor in Gambo’s loss to Mike Jurecki. On the other hand, MJ started Tyreek Hill at the flex position. Hill was electric in Week 1 and was a constant threat to the Patriots secondary, proving he is ready to take on his new role as the Chiefs’ No. 1 receiver.

Vince Marotta (That Booty!): 130
Ron Wolfley (Team Wolf): 37
This was a classic beat down by Vince, but someone needs to tell Wolf to change his lineup accordingly. He started Andrew Luck who was out, Julian Edelman who was placed on IR before the regular season started and Jay Ajayi who was on a bye week. So really, Wolf never stood a chance against Vince’s star-studded lineup of Antonio Brown, LeSean McCoy and Matt Ryan.
Listener Winner, Rick (Dancing with Stanton): 142
Paul Calvisi (Team Calvisi): 59
Our listener winner got the win this week, but he could be the biggest loser of Week 1 after the news of David Johnson needing surgery. Although, the good news is, he drafted Kareem Hunt who proved he has the talent to be a star at the NFL level. Paul had a weak showing by his team, as his kicker Matt Bryant got him more points than every player in his lineup except Keenan Allen. Looks like both teams will have to put in some waiver claims.
