Arizona Coyotes reassign Dakota Mermis to AHL Tucson

The Arizona Coyotes reassigned defenseman Dakota Mermis to AHL Tucson, the team announced Sunday.

In seven games with the Roadrunners this season, the 23-year-old has one goal on 10 shots and two assists with six penalty minutes.

In 137 AHL games with Tucson and the Springfield Falcons, the Alton, Illinois-native has recorded six goals, 22 assists and 139 PIM.

Mermis has played in seven games this season with the Coyotes.

He signed a three-year, entry-level deal with Arizona in 2015.
