On Track with The A-Train: Feb 8
Fresh off of another win for Team Power, Ryan Bader made his submission victory over Vladimir Matyushenko look easy.
Thing is, Bader used a choke that BJJ Coach Andre Maracaba had originally showed me! Bader just goes and steals the whole scene, as he actually puts the front choke to use and scores the fastest submission in UFC history in the light heavyweight division. Gotta say, we were all excited when Bader got Matyushenko to tap. So, I guess its okay that he used “my” move (wink, wink).
Well, here it is February and we are pushing forward at Power MMA and Fitness. Both Francisco “Kiko” France and Jade Porter have signed agreements to fight in the newly former “World Series of Fighting”, which will be shown on the new NBC Sports Network. We are excited for them to step up in competition and fight on a bigger stage. We expect big things from those two.
Also, Saturday, February 9th, we will be doing the Power MMA Show live from the Devil’s Advocate in Tempe as we hold an autograph signing to raise money for our beloved Arizona State University wrestling program. UFC Heavyweight World Champion Cain Velasquez will be back in town for this as well as CB Dollaway, Ryan Bader and myself. It should be a great event and we are happy to give back to the program that started it all.
