You turned your back on the reality of the situation in the 90s.
You put your hands in your pockets when Bonds passed Aaron, acting as if your pout somehow protects you from criticism for your lack of action.
The steroid issue has defined your legacy, and mostly negatively.
Today, I am thrilled that you are the commissioner of Major League Baseball.
Bud Selig went to extraordinary steps in his fight against steroids. They paid witnesses. They hired security to actually pick people up in SUVs to have a chat before dropping them off on a street corner.
Basically all the cheesy things you see in movies, MLB did them.
The fans, media and, most importantly, the players have empowered Selig to do whatever it takes. The fact Braun is not appealing his suspension proves the weight of evidence. Selig’s actions are completely justified.
The game of Baseball is in good hands. This is a good day for the game.
