Dylan Strome of the Tucson Roadrunners was voted by coaches, players and media to the AHL All-Rookie Team on Wednesday.

As the third overall pick by the Coyotes in the 2015 NHL Draft, Strome leads all rookies by averaging 1.06 points per game.

He has 22 goals and 28 assists in 47 games for the first-place Roadrunners.

This was Strome’s first season in Tucson after spending the majority of the last three years with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League.

The Roadrunners are 38-19-5 and have already clinched a berth to the AHL playoffs with five games remaining in the regular season.

Strome appeared in 19 games for the Coyotes, scoring eight points and posting a plus/minus of four.

He follows in the footsteps of his older brother, Ryan Strome, who earned AHL All-Rookie honors in 2014 as a member of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Dylan Strome joins forward Daniel Sprong of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, forward Mason Appleton and defenseman Sami Niku of the Manitoba Moose, defenseman Filip Hronek of the Grand Rapids Griffins and goaltender Ville Husso of the San Antonio Rampage as the other honorees of the All-Rookie Team.

Strome and teammate Nick Merkley were named to the AHL All-Star Classic in the middle of the season.

The First and Second All-AHL Teams will be announced on Thursday.
