Suns’ Lopez is healthy, ready to ‘contribute what I failed to contribute last year’

By his own admission, last season was not a good one for
Robin Lopez.
Sure, he started a career-high 56 games, but he averaged
less points and less rebounds than the previous year.
Of course there may be a good reason for that: his health.
A back injury limited the Suns fourth-year center to 51
games during the 2009-2010 season. Then last season a
left knee injury cost him 14 games. Add in the team’s
acquisition of center Marcin Gortat and Lopez not only
lost his starting job, but some of the drive that led the
Suns to make him the 15th overall pick of the 2008 NBA
Draft.
