Two days after working out Deandre Ayton, the Phoenix Suns will bring in a different highly-touted prospect.

Duke forward Marvin Bagley III will have a solo workout with the Suns on Friday, the team announced Thursday evening. His workout will have a media availability.

Though Ayton and Slovenian guard Luka Doncic have been the two names most-associated with the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said the team would try out a handful of players.

“I think people are jumping to conclusions as far as maybe there are one or two guys maybe in the mix for us,” McDonough said at the NBA Combine in May. “There are a handful of guys, we met with Marvin Bagley this week here in Chicago, who, as you know, is a Phoenician, he is a local kid.”

Bagley, 6-foot-11, averaged 21 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in his one year at Duke. He shot 61.4 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from behind the 3-point line.

With a wingspan over 7 feet, Bagley is currently ranked by ESPN as the No. 3 prospect in the class.

McDonough said Wednesday the team will be working out candidates for the No. 1 pick at the end of the week. The Suns will have another solo workout on Saturday.
