The Phoenix Suns have announced that they have withdrawn their qualifying
offer to guard Aaron Brooks.
Brooks is now an unrestricted free agent.
Brooks was acquired by the Suns in 2011 in exchange for Goran Dragic and a
first round pick.
He averaged 9.6 points and 4.2 assists in 25 games with the Suns, but spent
last season playing for the Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese
Basketball Association.
The move comes after drafting guard Kendall Marshall, and bringing back
Dragic as a free agent from the Houston Rockets.
The Suns also still have Sebastian Telfair under contract.
