The Arizona Cardinals signed defensive end Nordly “Cap” Capi on Thursday and waived injured defensive end Bryson Albright.
The 26-year-old Capi entered the league in 2015 as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Originally starting his college career at Colorado State, he played two seasons at Akron where he recorded 70 tackles, seven sacks, 15 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and three passes defended.
He spent the 2016 season on the Cardinals’ practice squad and was in training camp with the team in 2017, but did not make the roster.
Capi totaled 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks in five preseason games with Arizona in 2017.
He played for the New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills for four games each last year and totaled five tackles, one sack and a forced fumble.
