Laurent Dauphin has been recalled to the Arizona Coyotes from the Tucson Roadrunners.
In his only appearance with Tucson, Dauphin scored a goal and recorded an assist.
He has 34 appearances with the Coyotes over parts of three seasons including 24 games in 2016 when he scored two goals and an assist for 3 points. He averaged 10:47 minutes of ice time during his NHL appearances .
The Coyotes (0-2-0) have still not scored a goal yet this season and hope that the 23-year-old center can provide a spark for the offense.
Center was a position that the Coyotes were hit hard by with injuries before the season. Newcomer Alex Galchenyuk and Christian Dvorak started the season on injured reserve.
Dauphin was listed as day-to-day for a knee injury and moved to Tucson at the beginning of the season for conditioning purposes.
There was no corresponding move since Dauphin was technically already on the NHL roster.
