Phoenix Suns forward T.J. Warren was fined $15,000 by the league for inappropriate language directed at an official after getting ejected on Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
NBA executive vice president of basketball operations, Kiki VanDeWeghe announced the fine two days later on Wednesday.
The Suns battled the Clippers to a 123-119 overtime loss in the game.
Warren, the Suns’ second-leading scorer, had sat the previous five games with an ankle injury and was supposed to be placed on a minutes restriction before the ejection.
He was tossed after playing just 12 minutes, scoring six points and collecting one rebound.
The ejection occurred following a shooting foul called on Deandre Ayton as Warren could be seen muttering to an official while walking toward the Suns bench.
It was Warren’s second time being ejected in his last four games played. He would return to the Suns on Tuesday in a 111-86 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, logging 25 minutes while posting 23 points and six rebounds.
