The Arizona Coyotes made a move Friday night.
The team announced it has recalled forward Hudson Fasching from the Tucson Roadrunners, Arizona’s AHL affiliate.
The 23-year-old forward has scored 12 goals to go along with 13 assists for 25 points in 48 games this season with the Roadrunners. He also has 10 penalty minutes.
Fasching, who was traded to the Coyotes from the Sabres last season for Mike Sislo and Brandon Hickey, played in 22 games with Buffalo during his time with the team. He recorded one goal and two assists (three points).
Fasching was originally drafted in the fourth round of the 2013 Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings.
The move to bring Fasching up comes following the news that Arizona center Derek Stepan will miss four to six weeks with a lower body injury suffered in the Coyotes’ 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks.
