The Phoenix Suns announced Thursday that they have assigned a second-year player and two rookies to the team’s NBA Development League affiliate.

Guards Archie Goodwin and Tyler Ennis and forward T.J. Warren will be heading to the Bakersfield (Calif.) Jam. All three former first-round picks are having trouble finding regular minutes with the Suns due to crowded backcourt and wing positions.

The announcement marks Ennis and Warren’s second assignment to Bakersfield this season.

Ennis has played in six games for the Suns, averaging 3.7 points, 1.7 assists and 1.0 rebound per contest. His biggest performance was an 11-point, three-rebound, two-assist showing in a Dec. 14 blowout loss in Oklahoma City. Ennis averaged 22.0 points on 51.4 percent shooting, 7.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two games during his previous stint with the Jam.

Warren has made 10 appearances with the Suns, putting up 4.2 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. He scored a season-high 11 points on Nov. 28 in a blowout loss in Denver. Warren averaged 36.0 points on 60.9 percent shooting, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals in two games with Bakersfield earlier this year.

This trip will mark Goodwin’s first assignment to Bakersfield this year, although he served two stints there in his rookie season. The 20-year-old guard averaged 26.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in five games last year with the Jam. For the Suns, Goodwin has only appeared in 10 games in his second season, averaging 3.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.6 assists per contest. Like Ennis and Warren, Goodwin’s season high is also 11 points, which the Kentucky product has reached twice in 2014-15. Goodwin’s career high of 29 points came in the Suns’ final game of the 2013-14 season.
