Kings to reportedly hire former Suns coach Igor Kokoskov as assistant

Former Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov has reportedly found new employment.
Kokoskov will join the Sacramento Kings as an assistant coach, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday.
He rejoins the assistant coaching ranks after just one season leading the Phoenix Suns, who went 19-63 on the season. He was fired after the season and eventually replaced by former Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams.
Before his stint with the Suns, Kokoskov was an assistant for the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Suns, Cleveland Caveliers, Orlando Magic, and most recently the Utah Jazz. He was also the head coach of the Slovenian National Team that won the 2017 EuroBasket gold medal.
Kokoskov joins a Kings squad that, like the Suns, features plenty of youth, including 20-year-old Marvin Bagley III and 21-year-old De’Aaron Fox, as well as 26-year-old Buddy Hield.
The Kings hired former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton to be their head coach after firing Dave Joerger this offseason.
