Phoenix Suns assign Archie Goodwin, Reggie Bullock to D-League affiliate

Archie Goodwin continues to bounce back and forth from the Phoenix Suns to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League.
The second-year guard, who is still trying to crack the Suns’ crowded backcourt rotation, was assigned to Bakersfield on Thursday, his third such assignment this season.
In his most recent stint with the Jam, Goodwin was named the MVP of the inaugural NBA D-League Showcase Cup on Jan. 20 after helping Bakersfield win the tournament. The former Kentucky Wildcat is averaging 19.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game and shooting 43.9 percent in six contests.
With the Suns this season, Goodwin has made 13 appearances and is averaging 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest.
Also assigned to Bakersfield on Thursday was newly acquired shooting guard Reggie Bullock, formerly of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Bullock has made one appearance for the Suns since coming to the team via a Jan. 15 trade; he played three minutes against his former team on Sunday, missing his only field goal attempt and recording a blocked shot.
Thursday’s assignment marks the North Carolina product’s first trip to the D-League since being selected 25th in the 2013 NBA draft, four spots ahead of Goodwin.
