Last season, the Phoenix Suns excelled with both Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe in the lineup.

Though the players have changed, the strategy will live on.

Thursday the Suns acquired guard Brandon Knight from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Miles Plumlee, Tyler Ennis and a draft pick.

Knight, 23, is a 6-foot-3, 189-pound guard who has been averaging 17.8 points, 5.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 32.5 minutes per game for the Bucks this season. He has shot 43.5 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from three-point range. He is set to be a restricted free agent following this season.

Last month he scored 26 points while dishing out four assists and collecting three steals against the Suns.

Phoenix also acquired guard Kendall Marshall in the deal, who is expected to be waived.

The Suns’ draft pick is going to Philadelphia as part of the three-team deal. The pick initially belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers, who parted with it in the Steve Nash deal in July 2012. It’s a protected 2015 first-round pick.
