The Carolina Panthers answered every score that the Arizona Cardinals put on the board.

They saved themselves time at the end of the third quarter when Kyler Murray threw his first interception of the game.

On 2nd-and-9, Murray sent a pass deep to the left side intended for Larry Fitzgerald, but the ball sailed right over him.

“That was on me,” Murray said told reporters after the game.

Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson scooped up the pass and ran back to the Arizona Cardinals’ 22-yard line before he was pushed out of bounds.

The interception was Murray’s first since the Cardinals’ Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions which happened on the second drive of that game.

The Panthers were able to turn that takeaway into a touchdown where quarterback Kyle Allen connected to Panthers tight end Greg Olsen for the second time on the day. After the extra point, the Panthers extended their lead to 35-20.

Jackson picked off Murray again in the fourth quarter at Arizona’s 22-yard line.

The Cardinals went on to lose 38-20 and fell to 0-2-1.
