The Arizona Coyotes have recalled defenseman Robbie Russo from the Tucson Roadrunners, the team announced on Monday.

Russo, 26, has posted 1-7-8 and 14 penalty minutes for the Roadrunners this season in 23 appearances.

In 294 career games with AHL sides Grand Rapids and Tucson, the 6-foot, 198-pounder registered 28-122-150 and 206 penalty minutes.

The 26-year-old has also skated in 19 career contests in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings.

Russo was drafted by the New York Islanders in the fourth round (No. 95 overall) in the 2011 Entry Draft.
