Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade was on Instagram Live on Friday when a viewer asked him his thoughts on Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.
The 23-year-old got glowing a review from the 13-time All-Star.
“Devin Booker’s a bucket,” Wade said. “Straight bucket.”
Booker has received praise this season from NBA stars, including Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard recommending the Suns guard as his replacement for the All-Star Game.
Over summer, Booker was invited to work out at Wade’s camp with the future Hall of Famer.
“I love that guy, I got a chance to work with him in my camp last summer,” Wade said. “Just to see him work, and see the way he shoot the basketball, see his love and his knowledge and his thirst for the game, man that dude’s incredible.”
There has been mutual respect between the two shooting guards for years.
In March 2016, after Booker scored 34 points against the Heat, Wade spoke highly of him and said he has a bright future.
In 2019, following their final game against each other in Wade’s NBA career, they swapped jerseys.
On the one for Booker, Wade signed it with a message: “Anything you need I’m here. Keep going & keep leading.”
