Forbes’ annual list of the top 100 highest-paid athletes in the world had one member of a Valley sports team.

The Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker, one of many basketball players to make the list, ranked No. 62. Tennis star Roger Federer was No. 1 overall, while the Lakers’ LeBron James (fifth) was the highest-paid basketball player.

Booker, according to Forbes, made $26.6 million in earnings last year, $6 million of that coming from endorsements. His salary doesn’t necessarily match the average annual value of his contract, as his cap hit is $27.285 million this season but was only $3.314 million last season.

He is also sponsored by Nike.

Booker is sandwiched on the list between soccer forward Antoine Griezmann (60) of Barcelona and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (62). After McCaffrey is Booker’s good friend D’Angelo Russell (63).

Former Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell is at No. 98 on the list. Arizona State alumnus James Harden is No. 17, and his fellow Sun Devil Phil Mickelson is No. 25.

Only one baseball player, Clayton Kershaw, was on the list. “MLB players were the hardest hit following the postponement of Opening Day in March,” Forbes wrote.
