McShay: Cardinals could trade down for tackle

The 2012 NFL Draft is upon us, and as of now, the Arizona
Cardinals are the owners of the 13th overall pick in the
first round.
But that could change, according to Todd McShay, NFL Draft
guru from ESPN and Scouts, Inc.
Thursday morning on Mike & Mike on ESPN Radio, McShay says the Cardinals could very likely
trade down out of the 13th spot and still get an
impact player.
“I think the Cardinals are looking offensive tackle, and
that seems to fit,” McShay said. “I hear a lot about them
liking Cordy Glenn so if it comes to 13, maybe Arizona
moves back and gets the Georgia offensive tackle a little
bit later rather than (Riley) Reiff there, so that could
be another trade spot.”
Many mock drafts have predicted the Cardinals will draft a
tackle, an obvious area of need, at #13 — but most of the
later mocks have them taking Iowa’s Riley Reiff, not
Glenn.
Glenn is a 6-foot-5, 345-pound tackle who was a first team
All-SEC selection a year ago.
