Buffalo Bills fans jumped at the opportunity to donate to Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s charity of choice on Saturday night.
The fans did so after Jackson suffered a concussion during the second half of the Bills’ 17-3 win over Baltimore in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs.
Bills fans quickly took to Reddit to organize a fundraising drive on Saturday for Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit charity that works to ensure children who are fed through federal programs during the week don’t go hungry on weekends in honor of Jackson, according to Rick Ritter of Baltimore CBS affiliate, WJZ.

The nonprofit tweeted on Sunday that it had received more than 2,500 donations overnight, speaking to the widespread interest in helping the charity.
Blessings in a Backpack changed their minimum donation amount to $8, in honor of Jackson’s number with the Ravens.

The Bills will play either the Kansas City Chiefs or Cleveland Browns in the AFC Championship game next Sunday.
Buffalo is making its first appearance in the semifinal contest since 1994. Whether they’ll reach their first Super Bowl in 27 years is yet to be seen.
What is certain right now is that their fans are doing their part to win over the public with their donations over the last 24 hours.
