The Arizona Cardinals made some roster changes Friday, signing Jon Halapio and releasing Tavon Rooks.

Halapio, 23, is a 6-foot-2, 320-pound guard who was a sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots out of Florida in 2014. They released him following training camp, and he was then picked up by the Denver Broncos on Dec. 17.

He remained on the Broncos’ practice squad for the remainder of the season until they released him on May 11.

Halapio, who was a team captain at Florida in 2013, played in 51 games for the school — starting 43 of them.

Rooks signed with the Cardinals in January after being on the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad last season.
