PARIS (AP) — 2:53 p.m.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga won the second set 7-6 (1) against Stanislas Wawrinka to level the set score in their French Open semifinal.
The fans on Court Chartrier broke out into loud chants of “Tsonga, Tsonga” after the Frenchman broke back in the set and held to love to lead 5-4.
With his eyes closed, Tsonga appeared to be meditating at the changeover.
In high temperatures, Wawrinka won the first set 6-3.

The first French Open semifinal between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Stanislas Wawrinka is underway in hot and sunny conditions on center court.
Both are looking to reach their second Grand Slam final, with Tsonga losing in the 2008 Australian Open final, and Wawrinka winning that tournament in 2014.
Tsonga hopes to give France its first men’s champion at Roland Garros since Yannick Noah in 1983; Henri Leconte was the host country’s last male finalist, in 1988.
They have met six times before, with three wins each.
Tsonga is seeded 14th, and Wawrinka is seeded eighth, and the winner plays top-ranked Novak Djokovic or third-seeded Andy Murray.
