Cardinals S Budda Baker on Instagram: ‘COVID 1 Budda 0’

Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker on Wednesday revealed on Instagram that he might have caught COVID-19.
The All-Pro reposted a story of soup on the stove, as well as a collection of items that one might consume when they’ve come down with a bug.
With that, Baker wrote: “COVID 1 Budda 0”.
That accompanied an emoji face with a thermometer and another with a mask on.
The Cardinals already went through their mandatory minicamp last week, so Baker’s illness should not impact the team. The safety likely won’t miss out on any full-team gathering with training camp set to start in nearly two months.
The Arizona Republic’s Katherine Fitzgerald reports no close contacts on the Cardinals were identified.
Baker’s Instagram post comes on the same day that the news broke of Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul testing positive for coronavirus. Paul, according to Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro, was vaccinated but still tested positive.
The Suns confirmed Paul was in health and safety protocols, and his status for the Western Conference Finals series against the winner between the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers is up in the air. That series would begin either Sunday or Tuesday, depending on if that semifinals matchup goes seven games.
The team added that it would provide an update on Paul this Saturday.
