After Devin Booker broke his nose against the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, he was escorted to the Suns training room to be evaluated by team doctors.

Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver was on SiriusXM NBA Radio and talked about being in the Phoenix locker room as the Suns’ All-Star was getting treatment.

“I walked back there and I’m seeing Chris’s [Paul] security guy with the telephone in front of Devin’s face,” Sarver told SiriusXM NBA Radio. “Chris is on FaceTime telling Devin what to do.”

The Suns owner added that Paul was explaining to Booker how he should attack the basket when he gets back on the floor.

The Suns’ point guard missed the first two games of the conference finals due to health and safety protocols and was not present at Phoenix Suns Arena.

“Don’t lose your temper. Be calm, don’t try to strike back. You’re going to get this,” Paul told Booker via FaceTime.

Additionally, Paul was telling his shooting guard over the phone where he should shoot the ball from and what teammates to look out for on the perimeter when he checks back into the game.

Sarver went on to say that Booker was yelling at the team doctors so he could get back out on the court for the Suns for a two-for-one opportunity and return with 35 seconds left in the game.

“That gives you an insight as to the competitiveness and the laser focus of these two men in trying to get us an NBA championship,” Sarver said.
