The Arizona Rattlers are headed back to the United Bowl for the third time since 2017 following a 58-55 win over Duke City at Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix on Sunday.
After a crazy end to the game featured a Rattlers’ go-ahead score with 18 seconds left, the final play of the game rested on the foot of the Duke City kicker.
Fortunately for Arizona, the game-tying attempt that would have sent the game into overtime was missed wide left.

The Rattlers will now get a chance to avenge their 2019 United Bowl loss, as Arizona hosts the No. 2 seed Massachusetts Pirates in the championship game next Sunday.
The matchup is the first that won’t feature Sioux Falls since 2009 after the Rattlers defeated the Storm 69-42 in the first round of the 2021 Indoor Football League playoffs.
Arizona hosting the United Bowl also marks the second in a row for the Rattlers after the 2020 IFL season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A win in the title game would be the Rattlers’ second United Bowl victory and seventh overall championship in franchise history.
