Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul purchased 500 tickets to Game 3 of the Phoenix Mercury vs. Las Vegas Aces semifinal game for fans in the Valley.

The tickets will be on a first-come, first-served basis, able for redemption starting at 10:30 a.m. outside of Desert Financial Arena the day of the game, according to the Mercury.

Paul has been a known supporter of the WNBA for much of his career.

“I really believe in supporting your home, and this is home for me,” Paul said. “I was shooting on one court and D.T. (Diana Taurasi) was shooting on the other court. I got a chance to sit in there and watch a little bit of their practice. To be there in the same space and have that sort of bond is real, it’s real.

“I want to see them win and be successful. We are like one big team.”

The Mercury are currently tied 1-1 in their best-of-five series.

Phoenix defeated the New York Liberty in round one and the Seattle Storm in round two, both in single-elimination rounds.

Game 3 will be on Sunday at Desert Financial Arena at 12:00 p.m. on ABC.
