Phoenix Suns unveil new Valley Proud campaign ahead of 2021-22 season

Oct 6, 2021, 8:07 AM

The Phoenix Suns rallied the Valley with their run to the NBA Finals last season.

And after coming up short of an NBA championship for the third time in franchise history, the team on Wednesday unveiled its new mantra for the upcoming 2021-22 campaign: Valley Proud.

Phoenix’s Finals appearance renewed the energy around the Valley’s first professional sports franchise, but the Suns said in a press release they want to use last year’s success to push things forward.

In other words, there is more work to be done.

Fans inspired the Valley Proud campaign and manifesto, which can be applied to both the team and its fans:

We play hard.
We compete even harder.
We protect our home like our lives depend on it.
And we won’t be satisfied with anything short of a championship.
This is what a winning culture feels like.
This is what it means to be Valley Proud.

Throughout the season, the Valley Proud campaign will feature out-of-home, social and digital extensions, merchandise and in-game promo items, according to a press release.

“Repping the Valley as a Suns fan today is as much about how you live, as it is where you live,” the team said in the release.
