Lawson Crouse leads Arizona Coyotes to preseason win over Kings in LA

The Arizona Coyotes won their fourth game of the preseason on Tuesday night after a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings.

LW Lawson Crouse led the Coyotes with three points on two goals and one assist.

He was also rocking the alternate captain “A” on the new white Kachina jerseys at Staples Center.

Defenseman Conor Timmins had two points on the night thanks to an assist and an empty-net goal in the dying seconds of the game.

Loui Eriksson, 36, also had a goal of his own for Arizona in the third period.

The Coyotes only mustered 20 shots on goal as a team, but did manage to convert on one of their two power-play opportunities.

Goaltender Carter Hutton made 38 saves on the Kings’ 39 shots on goal over the course of the game.

Los Angeles’ lone goal came on one of its four power-play attempts, which Arizona successfully killed off three times.

The Coyotes finished with a total of 12 penalty minutes on the night.

UP NEXT

Arizona closes out the preseason on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The Coyotes open up the 2021-22 NHL season at the Columbus Blue Jackets a week later on Oct. 14.
