Cardinals Super Bowl odds fall after loss to Packers

The Arizona Cardinals had the third-highest Super Bowl odds on Fanduel Sportsbook entering Week 8.
They were 7-0, had the best point differential in the NFL and the top scoring defense.
Their 24-21 loss that came down to the final moments against the Green Bay Packers Thursday resulted in a shift.
Arizona was +850 to win the Super Bowl after defeating the Houston Texans 31-5 last Sunday. As of Friday, the odds have dropped to +1100.
The Packers were +1100 coming into Week 8 with a 6-1 record. Their odds improved to +950.
The Cardinals dropped from the third-best odds to sixth, while Green Bay went from sixth to tied for third.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills are tied for the top spot at +550, and the Los Angeles Rams are even with Green Bay. The Baltimore Ravens also leaped over the Cardinals with +1000 odds.
Arizona has +500 odds to win the NFC Championship Game and is favored at -150 to finish atop of the NFC West.
At 7-1, the Cardinals are -5000 to make the playoffs.
The Cardinals have been a team that preaches a 1-0 mentality. They have had the mental strength to overcome playing without their head coach and various injuries.
This will be their first test as far as rebounding from a loss. The key will be treating next week the same as if they had won, fixing mistakes and going onto the next challenge.
The Cardinals schedule is favorable heading into a Week-12 bye, so they have opportunities to get momentum back.
Arizona faces the 2-4 San Francisco 49ers in Week 9, then the 3-4 Carolina Panthers and 2-5 Seattle Seahawks.
That Seattle game looks different if quarterback Russell Wilson returns from injured reserve in time.
If the Cardinals take care of business after Thursday’s loss, their odds will shoot back up.
