The Arizona Coyotes announced Friday they have assigned forward Jan Jenik to their AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners.

Jenik and two other forwards were called up earlier in the month after Arizona had to place Christian Fischer and Dmitrij Jaskin on injured reserve, as well as Johan Larsson on the COVID-19 list.

Jenik played in two games for the Coyotes this season after posting four goals and three assists for a total of seven points with Tucson across 10 games.

The 21-year-old forward also appeared in two games last season for the Coyotes and scored two goals.

Jenik was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
