The Arizona Coyotes were dealt a couple of injury blows on Saturday.
The team announced that defenseman Jakob Chychrun and forward Ryan Dzingel both suffered upper-body injuries in Friday night’s 3-1 loss to the Florida Panthers.
Both Chychrun and Dzingel have been listed as day-to-day.
Chychrun led the entirety of the NHL in goals for a defenseman last season with 18.
However, the 23-year-old has gotten off to a slower pace this year.
In 26 games on the 2021-22 campaign, Chychrun has two goals on 84 shots (2.4%). He also has five assists to give him a total of seven points on the year.
Dzingel has played in 16 games in his first season in the Valley.
In his ninth year in the NHL, the 29-year-old forward has scored two goals on 15 shots for a 13.3% peg. Dzingel has also notched two assists to bring his point total on the season to four.
The Coyotes host the Philadelphia Flyers at Gila River Arena at 7 p.m.
