Phoenix Suns’ road game vs. Detroit Pistons rescheduled for January 16

Jan 3, 2022, 4:12 PM

The Phoenix Suns had a schedule change take place on Monday.

The team’s upcoming road game against the Detroit Pistons that was originally scheduled for Jan. 12 has been rescheduled for Jan. 16.

Tip-off is slated for 11 a.m. at Little Caesars Arena.

While the schedule change removes a midweek back-to-back on the road for the Suns — who play the Raptors in Toronto on Jan. 11 — it creates a new back-to-back on the backend of that same road trip.

So instead of having two days off between Jan. 14’s date in Indiana with the Pacers and Jan. 17’s contest in San Antonio with the Spurs, Phoenix now has to play three road games in four days with the Jan. 16 meeting in Detroit sandwiched in between.

The Suns will finish off that five-game road stretch in Dallas against the Mavericks on Jan. 20.

Additionally, Phoenix’s matchup with the Hawks in Atlanta on Feb. 3 will now air on TNT.

Phoenix wraps up the last of a three-game East Coast road trip on Tuesday night against the Pelicans in New Orleans at 6 p.m.
