The Phoenix Suns announced Wednesday they have signed forward Paris Bass to a second 10-day contract.
Bass was originally signed on the hardship exemption on Dec. 31, one of five additions by the Suns in the league’s tweaked rules to allow teams to bring in more players if its roster was affected by COVID-19.
The Suns had originally let the 10-day contracts of M.J. Walker and Bass expire before bringing back Bass a few days later. He joins forward Justin Jackson as the extra roster spots on the team, as center Bismack Biyombo took up the last position of the 15 on the roster with his contract through the regular season.
Bass played in two games for the Suns, with both appearances coming in garbage time.
Phoenix came out of Toronto on Tuesday with a win despite being down four wings: Cam Johnson (left ankle sprain), Ish Wainright (health and safety protocols), Abdel Nader (right knee injury management) and Jackson (not with team).
The Suns play game two of their five-game road trip against the Indiana Pacers on Friday. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. on ESPN 620 AM and 98.7 FM HD-2.
