Arizona Coyotes forward Clayton Keller will be representing the team in the 2022 All-Star Game, according to Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro.
Keller, 23, will play in his second All-Star Game. He also made the team in 2019.
The forward leads the Coyotes in goals with 12 and his 14 assists are third on the team. Keller’s 0.76 points per game are his highest since the 2017-18 season when he ended the year with 65 points. He has not broken 50 points since that year.
Keller joins Keith Tkachuk, Nikolai Khabibulin, Jeremy Roenick, Teppo Numminen, Sean Burke, Shane Doan, Ed Jovanovski, Keith Yandle and Oliver Ekman-Larsson as the organization’s 10th multi-time All-Star.
The Coyotes enter play on Thursday sporting a record of 8-23-3. Arizona’s 19 points are the least in the Western Conference and only the Montreal Canadiens’ 18 are below the Coyotes in the leaguewide standings.
Arizona hits the road after a 2-1 win on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs to take on the Colorado Avalanche. That’s a 7 p.m. puck drop you can hear on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
